Placerville, California

Placerville was booming for over a decade before the Pony Express came through, growing to be the third largest town in California during it's surges of Gold Rushes. Placerville has had some interesting nicknames in it's time, "dry diggings" spread around because a majority of the miners had to cart down alot of dry dirt to a water source in order to sift. "Hangtown" is another one, and well, we didn't push the matter much further...
