Marysville, Kansas

Marysville was established along the Big Blue River in Kansas territory in the 1850's. Over time, travelers along the Oregon and Mormon Trail decided they felt enough at home to settle down. Residents opened up the first post office in the Kansas Territory, and the Pony Express station that the Central Overland California and Pike's Peak Express Company raised still stands in the beautiful historic downtown district.
