Hollenberg, Kansas

The Hollenberg Pony Express Station State Historic Site is one of the few mostly-unaltered Pony Express stations remaining in its original location still standing today. It's also the western-most Pony Express station in Kansas, roughly 125 miles west of St. Joseph, Missouri, the Eastern Terminus. It was originally a ranch house that boasted a pub, grocery store and post office. When the Pony Express came in 1860, Hollenberg became a home station. Finally, some sleep!
