Genoa, Nevada

The story goes that Genoa was named after the original Italian city, birthplace of Christopher Columbus. This town straddling the The Overland Emigration Trail still operates one of the oldest 'Thirst Parlours' west of the Mississippi. In the center of town, a sizeable trading post called Mormon Sation was the original nucleus of what has grown into a vibrant and artistic community, and was where a tired Pony Rider could hang his hat after a hard ride.
